About

I founded LR Design, LLC during my last year of college and have grown it into a successful woman-owned small business serving those who seek unique, custom-made art. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree from The Graduate Theology Foundation (Indiana).

Right now, I primarily create collages made from fabric and thread. I constantly seek challenges to translate many different types of subject matter into fabric collage like animals, houses, landscapes, flowers and the list goes on. I then stretch the collages on wood and then frame them. I participate in about 20 art fairs or festivals each season. In the winter you’ll find me working in my studio creating new art and completing commissioned work.

In my down time (which isn’t much) I love to create all different kinds of artwork that involves repurposing and decorating used household items (furniture, windows, hardware, hinges, and knickknacks). I’m always open to new ways of highlighting the beauty of ordinary things through the use of fabric, fiber, beads, wood, glass, clay, tile, paint, and miscellaneous objects.
